Coffee adds beautifully rounded and nutty tones to a great barbecue rub
  • The coffee offsets the smoke and heat from the other ingredients wonderfully, whilst allowing the full flavour of darker meats to shine through.

    Uses:
    Great with steaks, lamb or chicken thighs

    Rub a generous portion into pork ribs and roast slow and low for great ribs
    Great with venison steaks and casseroles

  • Ingredients:
    Coffee, Sea Salt, Paprika, Garlic, Thyme, Demerara Sugar, Pepper, Onion, Mustard, Cayenne Pepper, Ancho Chilli and Rice Flour

    Packaging:
    The rub comes in an attractive 8.5cm aluminium tin containing 35g of rub - this should easily coat around 10-12 chicken breasts. It's best used within 2 years of opening as long as it's kept in the tin.

    Lamb shanks make a great one pot dish. The coffee and mild heat from the Hasta Barista Baby rub work really well with lamb, and the parsnip adds an extra sweetness to the dish.
