Steak 'n' Fritters

Steak 'n' Fritters

Our espresso flavoured rub gives a beautifully warm and nutty flavour to a simple Minute steak. Great served with our corn fritters, or simply in a great baguette.

PREP TIME: 10 min
COOK TIME: 30 
SERVES: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 115g Minute steaks
  • 2 tsp Life of Spice Hasta Barista Baby
  • 1 small tin sweetcorn (drained)
  • 2 sliced spring onions
  • 50g self raising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40ml milk

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 180°C
  2. Rub 1 tsp Life of Spice Hasta Barista Baby into the Minute steak.
  3. To make the fritter batter, mix the sweetcorn, spring onions, self raising flour, 1 tsp Life of Spice Hasta Barista Baby, egg and milk in a bowl. 
  4. Heat a non stick pan on medium high heat.
  5. Pour in 3 tbsp of the mixture and cook for 1 minute on each side. Repeat until a;ll fritters are cooked.
  6. Bake the fritters in the oven for 10 minutes.
  7. Fry the steak to your preference.
